The Nizhny Novgorod Metro is a rapid-transit system that serves the city of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. Two lines and a total of 15 stations serves over one milion citizens on the middle of the river Volga. Metro system began operation in 1985.
A new station (Strelka) was opened in June just before the football World Cup 2018, to serve the spectators travelling to the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium.
