The Nizhny Novgorod Metro is a rapid-transit system that serves the city of Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. Two lines and 15 stations serve over one million citizens in the middle of the river Volga. The Metro system began operation in 1985.

A new station (Strelka) was opened in June, just before the football World Cup 2018, to serve the spectators traveling to the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium.
