The Brasilia Metro is a rapid transit system serving the city of Brasilia. Construction began in 1992, and the metro was opened in March 2001. The Metro system consists of 2 lines and serves 24 stations. The system is open from Monday to Saturday, 6.00 to 23.30, and from 7.00 to 19.00 on Sundays and Holidays.
